Today's show was hosted by Blair Taylor, owner of Barolo Grill, Barbara Macfarlane, “Queen Bee” of Marczyk's Fine Foods and Executive Chef Brian Laird from Barolo Grill.
Today's talk was dominated by bacon - specifically medicinal uses for
bacon, Colorado lamb and of course, great places to wine and dine in
Denver.
Today's questions were:
How many pounds of bacon did Marczyk's sell in 2008.

great wine.

Paula called in on a weird story on a co-worker who came to work with a
piece of bacon attaches to the back of her neck she used to heal a sore.
Hilarity ensued and prompted other callers with bacon band aid stories.

called in from south of Casco Bay in Maine. Pete's there buying oysters.
Gail Novak from
The Broker Restaurant

upcoming fundraiser for the Denver Center of Performing Arts feauting

Blair talked about how he used to work with Gail's husband Ed back in
1975 prior to breaking into the wine industry and subsequently back in
to the restaurant business.
Blair commented on the upcoming
Gabby Dinners.

Washington Park area. Washington

Blair reminded everyone to look into their spice cabinet and throw out
anything with the expiration date in 1980's.
Alma called in to state the she heard

also serves great fried chicken in a follow up to last week's topic.
Alma also provided a story of a lady who put bacon in her nose to stop a
nose bleed.
Jackie called in to ask where she can buy Colorado lamb - specifically
Cedarpark Ranch lamb.
Today’s winner:
Lydia won the question of the day with her guess of 3,700 pounds of
bacon.
Marczyk's sold 3,720 pounds of bacon in 2008.
Brian Laird's question of how many mini
ravioli's Barolo serves in a week was 5,000.
