We were at
A Taste of Colorado in Civic Center Park at the Greek Amphitheater.
I am in charge of Fine Dining and there are many great events going on with 5 great restaurants and demos all day Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Come down and enjoy the great chefs, great food, and great fun.

For the next 3 Saturdays, we will have guest hosts with great people, super prizes and gifts and lots of fun. I will be gone.

Next Saturday, the 12th, enjoy my son
Steve Miller with his guests from Snooze, Larimer Square and Savory spice.

On Saturday, the 19th
Tyler and Jen Wiard of Elway’s take over with their guests and fun.

Saturday, the 26th, you will get to hear and enjoy
Blair Taylor and friends from Barolo Grill.

There will still be a Scoop, the podcast, and more.

Wednesdays on Channel 7 at 11 on the news—I usually come on around 11.33 am.

This week, I am still here on the 9th and am showing off some exciting new places.
And TV will bring you some great places to see. On the 16th, enjoy FRIED CHICKEN, and on the 23rd, great chefs bring their goodies.

We went to
Panzano for dinner and it was awesome. First, the team here is unbelievable with perfect greeting, service, wine choices, and food. Everyone is very special and each dish is fabulous. Elise Wiggins, Josh, Gary start the list and every server and hostess is great. We had divine wine-and told him a limit on price-and Gary found a fabulous wine. Then we had the breads and dip—and were even told we could have gluten-free bread if we liked—we did not but wow. Then we had a salumi platter with cheeses, pesto, salami, nuts, dates, grilled breads and more. Entrees were grilled eggplant with whipped cheese and tomato sauce, lamb meatballs with gnocchi, and the veal special. Several of us had each and they were divine. The chocolate ganache cake is the most decadent delicious dessert and the tiramisu was very special as well. It was a perfect night.

Another Sunday meant another great brunch at
Strings. Guess I will not be there for the next few weeks with Taste of Colorado and then away for 3 Saturdays. It was great-perfect patio weather although cooler, but the place was busy inside and out. And the brunch was great ---Fireman’s eggs—the brioche toasted and filled with 2 fried eggs and served with potatoes, spinach and fruit—and of course, pancakes and eggs. And we did have a Kennedy special-scrambled eggs, bacon, crispy potatoes and white toast. It is just fun, terrific, and the servers are having a great time too.

We went to
Brio for a preopening party. The place-in Cherry Creek where Macaroni Grill was—will open this week and is huge and gorgeous. Service is excellent, the wine list has some great prices, and the menu is extensive. We had a limited menu from which to choose-but lots of choices. We had steak bruschetta, and then the wedge, the Caesar and our favorite a fabulous chop salad. Entrees were salmon with greens, feta, asparagus and potato strings, brick chicken, and limone chicken with pasta. The desserts were a delight with pot de crème trio of minis---tiramisu, strawberry, and chocolate. They will have valet parking too, and do take reservations.

The Gabby dinner at Ling & Louie’s was beyond incredible. It was awesome. The frozen drink was divine and so were the Oyster Bay wines with dinner. Then we started with chicken lettuce wraps that were fabulous. So were the miso soup and the best house salad. Entrees were choose and share or not—some were the walnut chicken, the curry chicken, the tuna, the beef-done two ways-pepper steak and jeweled beef—shrimp, or scallops and more and great rice too. Desserts were awesome too-banana caramel spring roll and crème brûlée. What a feast-and what a great time. No one wanted to go home it was so terrific.

Colt & Gray continues to impress ---and for good reason. We went back with a friend and he—and we---were thrilled. The place is so beautiful, the patio incredible, and the food and service perfect. We had the super bread, terrific wines and then—bacon cashew caramel corn—IT WORKED-and the heirloom tomatoes with burrata and the shrimp for starters. Several had the turkey burger-divine-one had the ratatouille, the other the amazing broccoli, and then we had the ravioli and the salmon. All were fabulous-and we had a ball-seems like everyone there did too.

We had great fun on TV with places that give back-charity-
SAME Café, Café Options, Women’s Bean Project and Marzyck’s, and Project Angel Heart. Watch the video linked from TV appearances on the home page.

And then we had lunch at
Steuben’s and it was so good-and so mobbed. The place rocks. We both had the new salmon salad and it was delicious and huge-great seasonings and so good.

Dinner at
Root Down was amazing and incredible as always. It is fabulous from beginning to end and only gets better. The food, service, ambiance, wines, drinks—every detail—and now even bread is served on request. We had the curry soup, the 3 salad plate of edamame, lentil and peaches, and then the gnocchi for harvest week, the beet risotto with scallops, the tuna ceviche and carpaccio and the new chicken Moroccan style with crispy polenta—and all are so marvelous-there is no way to choose what could be best-cuz it all is!!! What a treat.

We went to
Elway’s downtown and it was fabulous, the staff at the front of the hotel, the hosts at the restaurant and then the staff, manager, wine guy is very special, and servers are incredible. So is the food and wine—and service. The breads were amazing-and the appetizers of grilled artichoke and lamb chops with green chili cheese sauce were fabulous. Then we had salmon, surf and turf, sirloin, filet, and chicken-and sides of cauliflower, mac and cheese and asparagus—and all were perfect. Then we had key lime pie to end this total feast. It was one great night-and well worth a visit any time.

You will hear all the fun happenings on the show this week or on the podcast.

The hot dog eating contest was great!!! The winner ate 5 hot dogs in 3 minutes!!!

The cupcake tasting event was great too-8 judges picked from 10 entries
Hi Rise Bakery won the best chocolate and the best overall.
The Shoppe won best specialty
And all were great.  Click here for the recap

The Fine Dining restaurants were all incredible-and you can still enjoy them through Monday.

We stopped by
Maggiano’s in the Pavilions on our way home and had an amazing dinner. We had the super breads, the Caesar salad, the eggplant parmesan and the roasted chicken with rosemary and potatoes and green beans—so much food-and every bite so wonderful, this is one great place-and you can see that from the crowd there.

Sending this off before the show as it will be too late to get it up.

So listen to the broadcast if you can.

Gabby
