Here’s the Scoop from the Gabby Gourmet Restaurant Show on Saturday, May22, 2010.

We were at Elway’s Cherry Creek-my guests were Tyler Wiard of Elway’s and Candace of Denver Men’s Health—and the fabulous Haven Moses who is with them as well.

The Hot Rocks Griller Challenge—2nd annual—is June 16th at Elway’s with great chefs, wine, open bar, and music and fun!!!!! Tickets are $75 for all. Call Candace at 303-602-2978 for tickets and information.

The question of the day—how many sliders do you think they will serve on June 16th---5,782. We talked about the importance of men’s health

And the John Elway 50th birthday celebration all month at both Elway’s=---special dinner for $30—and he will be making appearances-don’t know when and sign footballs for some fans.

They 2nd annual slider party will happen on June 16 there.

Join us for a fabulous night of food and fun with the best Indian ever. The house is terrific-with a brewpub right on premise!!!! You will have a fabulous meal with all the specialties---and your choice of handcrafted beer or wine. Perfect for a summer night. The price, inclusive of tax, tip and wine is $25.


We went to Strings to celebrate a big birthday and it was great. there were 10 of us from old to babies and all were treated royally and we had a great time-super food-and Patrick was great-our waiter-the best. Some of what we had were crab three ways, pepper bisque, carrot salad, mussels, steak, chicken, liver, lamb, and halibut. And grilled cheese and chicken parm for kids too. And deserts were cookies and cream, a peanut butter chocolate tart, strawberry rhubarb cobbler, crème brulee, and sorbet---wow!!!! It was very special.

We went over to Strings from breakfast-and now with the patio open and happening-wow!!! But of course, we ate at the bar with Kris—she is only there on certain Sundays but always go when she is. We had the Gabby curried chicken salad sandwich, the new lobster roll-it is great-and the poached eggs and bacon---what fun!!!!

Tarbell’s Restaurant Home is great!!! The place is great looking, the service super-holly is marvelous as is chef matt-and the waiter---we had the homemade potato chips with dip, tuna tartar, and beet salad-and then yummy rolls-corn bread as a side-fried chicken, lobster roll, halibut, salmon—and all were wonderful—and a good time-great wines by glass as well. A real treat.

Lunch at D-Bar was amazing, fabulous, and whatever else you could say. We had a blast-along with all the other happy lunch goers. We had the blat with cheese pannini and salad comes with and the tomato soup with grilled cheese sandwich-both are incredible and huge and wonderful---and so was the root beer float!!! Try the pies.

Black Pearl was the spot for dinner. The patio is terrific and full of people enjoying happy hour and more. We had the open windows for that outdoor/indoor feel. We started with their homemade bread and fried oysters. Then we had the chicken, pork chop, and lamb for entrees. The dessert was a yummy brownie a la mode with chocolate suce and caramel—and whipped cream. Service needs help.

Delivery from Apple Spice Junction-that is great!!!! And the food and packaging is incredible-we had curried chicken salad-in salads, and in sandwiches—and wow!!! To both and great for them. What a pleasure

Argyll was great!!!! Everyone is raving-and for good reason. The place is fun, something for everyone to enjoy, casual and fun service, lots of wines, beers, and whiskey---and super food. We had the chips with malt glaze—everyone gets these gems, and then fried oysters-really good-and the beet salad to start. Then we had the burger and fries with an incredible bun, the half chicken, and the divine salmon. A bit of ice cream-big bit—ended the fun.
The Gabby dinner at Elway’s downtown was fabulous. The room was gorgeous, service beyond perfect. The wine flowed and then the fun started. We had the great breads, and then calamari, bruschetta, and chicken satay for appetizers. Then we had our choice of Caesar, house salads, or tomato soup—yum. Entrée choices were chicken, prime steak, short ribs, salmon with shrimp, or halibut. Then we all had mashed potatoes, cauliflower and asparagus. Dessert was tiramisu and s’mores. The dinner was fabulous.

We went to dinner at Satchel’s Market—a true delight!!! Fun, incredible,---painting –on front gone-landlord was painting tonight- -inside-amazing food and wine-and great prices- too-we had the risotto cakes and the tuna tartar for starters—and the great breads.
Then we had the salomn, the pork chop, the burger and fries –and they were all amazing, and divine. Then we shared beignets for dessert-yum---and the wines were great too.
Love this place.

Gwynne called about the dinner at Shanahan’s—the best ever.

Jack called about Steve Snappin’ Dogs---he and his mom just had lunch there. We all love it.

Kathy loved the gabby dinner at Elway’s downtown. She also had a great meal at Tarbell’s Restaurant Home in the streets of Southglenn. She had a great dinner at Argyll’s too.

Darlene took her 101 year old dad toTarbell’s Restaurant Home—he loved it-the food and wine and service and wants to take a friend this week too. She is going to her favorite Strings for breakfast tomorrow.

Adele loves Elway’s and wanted to buy tickets to the event.

Hedy is celebrating 50 years and kids are coming too—we talked about Elway’s with their special kid’s menu and Strings-both are great for kids.

John went to Elway’s in Lodo with his wife and had the best steak eve-and great time.

Krista won dinner on the Gabby Gourmet Website and adored her dinner there—her new favorite of anything. She was in Cherry Creek.

Sheila loves Elway’s Cherry Creek- her favorite place-but adored Fuel—it is fabulous and so good. And we talked about Satchel’s too.

Paul went to the Rocky’s game happy hour at Elway’s downtown and it was incredible-so were the people, service and everything. A perfect happy hour placer.

We were way out of time.
