Restaurant Show on Saturday, November 28, 09

This week's PLAYBACK
Part 1:

Part 2:

Here’s the Scoop from the Gabby Gourmet Restaurant Show on Saturday, November 28, 2009.

We were at Il Mulino in Aspen on remote. This gorgeous new Italian restaurant is known country-wide and we are here. It is part of the Residences of Little Nell-another outrageous spot in Aspen where you can rent the hotel rooms as well as be a time share owner of the amazing condos.

Our Gabby dinner at Mamma Mia is this week-December 1—do not miss it as it will be incredible.

Look for all the dinners under Gabby Dinners on the homepage and read about the great ones-don’t forget Mamma Mia, and then the latest additions-Le Chateau and House-both will be fabulous. And they are going to really impress us at all.

And next Saturday we are at the Tattered Cover on E. Colfax—come by and let me please sign your Gabby Gourmet Restaurant Guide 2010 and say hi to us—we will be there from 1-3 on remote.

NOW THAT IS IT TIME TO BUY THOSE HOLIDAY GIFTS-
FIRST, REMEMBER THE GABBY GOURMET RESTAURANT GUIDE 2010—THANK YOU AGAIN FOR PUTTING IT ON THE BEST SELLER LIST!!!! ONE SIZE FITS ALL, ANY SEX, AND ANY OCCASION—AND ONE FOR YOU.

THEN-head over to the Cherry Creek Mall and head for Phone Gear for all the accessories for your cell phone!!! And say Gabby and the first purchase is half price!!!!
This is a great way to shop for that gift that everyone wants-and blue tooths are offered as well. REMEMBER TO SAY GABBY

We had a fabulous dinner at Elway’s downtown at the Ritz. The food, service and wine were wonderful-the place looks great and the crowd was delighted. We had a great meal with the homemade rolls, salads and tuna tartar to start. Then we had steaks and chicken for entrees-and sides of divine Brussels sprouts and crab fried rice. We passed dessert as we were too full---but what a great treat it was to be there.

We went to Seven 30 South for dinner and it was very good. It is totally casual, after a game, and really good food. We had salad and tomato soup and then the kitchen sink salad, the southwest chicken salad, the spinach salad and the chicken pot pie---and then mud pie.

Lunch at Parallel 17 was great-just like dinners here. What a treat and such fun with super food, perfect service too. And the lunch special –one slider-your choice-one bowl of Pho—your choice—salad and a soft drink or tea $10---the best deal in town. And then there is happy hour, and all that good stuff. We had the special and the Saigon sandwich-again your choice-pork, beef, chicken, vegetarian---it was amazing as are the sweet and Yukon potato fries that come with—and the tea is divine. And they are open for the upcoming holidays too—and they do brunch~!!!

We went back to Le Chateau with out of town guests who knew James Mazzio when they lived here. And wow, we were so delighted and had a great time. The service is great, the food and wine wonderful-valet parking, every detail thought of for the evening. We had great breads, a fabulous asparagus soup, and then s divine spinach salad, beef tartar, and the best gnocchi for starters. Then we had quail, pappardelle with lamb shank, pork tenderloin, lobster risotto for entrees. A trio of sorbet was a perfect ending after our meal. There are still some places for the dinner on December 9 so join us for a great night of food and wine.

We went over to Argyll for dinner and it was great-and fun-and so good. Very casual, come in and have fun. We had the fresh sardine, the chips, and the Argyll salad-and the beet salad for starters. Then we had salmon burgers, lamb ribs, and pork tenderloin for entrees-and dessert was a rich and yummy chocolate cake. Everything was great-and a super spot for a casual night out-with excellent food.

TV on Wednesday on Channel 7 was great fun. We did cookbooks and featured the Single Mans Guide with Beer-a fun book, Vesta Dipping Grill and Rioja-where the food was beautiful but the books are not out yet—and then the Gabby Gourmet Restaurant Guide 2010-with food from To Die For Café Brazil.

Thanksgiving Eve at Strings was great-and it was really busy-guess everyone wanted out before cooking----and our dinner was marvelous. We had the carpaccio and the tuna tartar to start. Then we had barramundi, penne bagutta, and the duck for entrees-and they were all so perfect. I also picked up one of the famous turkey dinners-rolled stuffed turkey, cranberries, stuffing, gravy, cranberry crisp and pumpkin pie—and just putting it away and tasting-wow!!!! What a great way to go.

Thanksgiving was wonderful at our dinner with family-I hope you all had a great one too.

We will fill you in on happenings next week when we return from Aspen.

Thanks for all
And remember-Mamma Mia on Tuesday night
And Mac and Cheese-and more-on TV on channel 7 on Wed.

And next Saturday we are at the Tattered Cover on E. Colfax—come by and let me please sign your Gabby Gourmet Restaurant Guide 2010 and say hi to us—we will be there from 1-3 on remote.
