Happy New Year, and again, we start the New Year with the biggest treat!!!!

Elway’s Cherry Creek is wining and dining us again!!! Thanks to Tyler and Jen we return for our fabulous dinner here. Seating is limited-the price is $55 inclusive of tax, tip and wine---and the time of your life.

NEXT WEEK WE WILL BE AT EDIBLE ARRANGEMENTS AT 5066 S. WADSWORTH IN LITTLETON-STOP BY AND SAY HI

MY OTHER GUEST WILL BE NOEL CUNNINGHAM OF STRINGS

My guests were Nancy Flynn of Vitamin Cottage and Heather, the nutritionist who is the most adorable and knowledgeable person ever. My pal, Mike Seader was there too ---TV producer-and columnist on the Gabby page—Mike Says—or this month, Paris says!!

The question of the day—how many Mary’s turkeys did they sell at all the Natural Grocers, Vitamin Cottage stores for last Thanksgiving. 10,332

We talked about the great gluten free array of foods, about the great organic produce, vitamins, groceries, meats, fish—and of course turkeys. Order your now as they are sold out very quickly and they are amazing.

The store is spectacular—and now all the stores will have the Gabby Gourmet Restaurant Guide 2010 for your easy purchase. Thank you again.

Avi Dar of Phone Gear came by to do some filming of our radio show. He has the most incredible accessories for your phone-covers to protect them when you drop them-WHO WOULD DO THAT??—blue tooths, wire attachments, coating to protect your phone, handless help in the car, chargers, batteries, and on and on---and they have a new stereo for your use that is amazing-tiny and travels with you

HERE IS THE DEAL. BUY ANY ITEM AND GET 50 PERCENT OFF---THAT IS ANY ONE ITEM SO YOU CAN SELECT THE ONE THAT IS THE MOST EXPENSIVE—OR ONLY BUY ONE ITEM.

YOU HAVE TO SAY GABBY!!!! AND PHONE GEAR IS IN THE CHERRY CREEK MALL NEAR THE INFORMATION CENTER—AND THIS IS GOOD THROUGH NOVEMBER.

We went to a great Halloween party and then stopped by Il Posto for dinner. It was so good. We had sweet yam soup==yum—and then chicken and duck for entrees. And dessert was warm chocolate cake—and my very good glass of red wine!

We went to Shells and Sauce and it was great—as usual—fabulous-for all-wine super, warm bread and great dipping sauce and Caesar salads started the fun. Then we had chicken parmesan, branzini with a great sauce and salmon with balsamic glaze and great sides with each. Then we had the chocolate ricotta cake---and of course, super wine. Service with Spenser was incredible too.

Chili Verde was incredible!!!! It is great-affordable, delicious, and fun. One room and really pretty with linens of white, bright colors, big emerald green accents, super lighting and a bar area too set the scene. The license is now in effect so you can enjoy wine and beer too. The food rocks-we had the ceviche, the chips and sauces, and guacamole prepared tableside to start. Then we had the chicken crepes with poblano, the mole enchiladas, and the carne asada for entrees. Portions are huge and the food is perfect-great flavors-not too spicy and sooooo good. Then we had tres leches cake and crepes with chocolate and ice cream and berries for dessert. What a treat. And the owners are beyond charming.

The Gabby dinner at Full Belly Bistro was great!!!!! It was sensational in food, service, wine, and fun. What a great job done by chef Jason and front of the house guy, Brian.

We started with great bread, then a pork rillette on grilled bread with cassis syrup and then a fabulous greens tossed in herb vinaigrette with fresh blackberries, toasted walnuts and goat cheese. Both were fabulous. Then we had a choice of pork oin, penne with shrimp, or salmon---all again were perfect and the potatoes divine. Dessert was an outrageous opera torte-chocolate layer cake over Chantilly cream and fresh berries. The wines were super too. What a great night.

TV on Channel 7 on the 11am news was great with more A-List winners-Pearl of Siam on Tower and Hampden was fabulous Thai food-Bacco Trattoria Italian with super looking dishes on Kipling and C470-Le Central on 8th and Lincoln, and Little India on Champa and 6th Ave, real favorites, and Ling & Louie-super fun and so good.

Then I went to lunch at Strings with friends and it was super-and mobbed-we had the Cobb salad, the house salad and cappelini, and the fish and chips and everyone was delighted—and a stop at D-Bar for cake and cookies.

We went back to Chili Verde and it was great again-getting busy so a bit slower but such fun. And now they have wine and beer too!!! And very good ones----we had the great chips and sauces, guacamole and fried calamari to start. Then we had the chopped pork with green chili, the fabulous chili rellenos, a burrito, and carne asada for entrees-and ended with super flan---spicy food so if you want mild be sure and ask. I love it the way it is.

We went to Strings for dinner-and the kickoff of Tammy’s calendar—it was mobbed and fun for those at the event—and then we had a terrific dinner-food and service-and wine—were all great. We started with the beet salad and the haricot vert salads---then for entrees we had the salmon, the black pepper linguini with clams, and the penne bagutta. Desserts were the apple tart and the chocolate mousse bombe-both with homemade gelato—and Kris picked some great wines too.

We ran over for a quick brunch on the way to Compleat Gourmet and went to Annie’s Café—the staff is incredible-know you after a while and so efficient and friendly—we both had the great pancakes and eggs-and tea and fun.

What a treat!!! We went to Elway’s Cherry Creek for dinner and it was HEAVENLY—the food, the service, the wine, the feel, the fun----perfect. We started with great wine-and very reasonable-a great red for $7 a glass!!! And then deviled eggs, artichokes to die for and a divine wedge with bacon. Entrees were the steak, Scottish salmon—a must have—and great chicken. Sides of rappini with garlic, cheesy grits with shrimp Tabasco salsa, mashed potatoes—yum—and the best ratatouille. We were way too full for dessert but loved every bite.

Kathy called about Full Belly Gabby dinner, about Chili Verde, and about Elway’s Cherry Creek. All were terrific and so good—and fun too.

Rae enjoyed the Briarwood.

Jake called about Pica de Gallo, another Mexican find on 38th near Gaetano’s—sounds

Like lots of fun things happening over there.

Larry, owner of Seven 30 South called and Mike had been there—there are specials each night-Mike had the early turkey dinner-yum—that was the one night-this is their 10th anniversary and you can have a bottle of wine with dinner if you print out the coupon on the web---and for 2 entrees.

Jane adores Vitamin Cottage-and wanted a place in Boulder for tonight-she was on her way with her 87 year old mom—we talked about Full Belly and Arugula as excellent choices.

Richard wanted dinner for 8—with a nice budget=-we talked first about Strings, and then Piatti and 1515 Restaurant.

Nancy adores Vitamin Cottage and uses the nutritionist in Lafayette. She went to Fruition last night and it was perfect!!!

Bob wanted Liverwurst

And we found Continental Deli and Helva’s.—and he is a fan of Vitamin Cottage too.

We ran out of time.

Have a great week-thanks for calling and look for the Guide.

Gabby
