Jing is an incredible
Chinese restaurant at the Landmark. Las Vegas-style
ambience wows with a huge bar/lounge in black and white,
wood, a fireplace spectacularly placed high on the wall,
huge black chairs for comfort, black leather booths for
privacy, and the beautiful focal point bar. The main
dining room brings white accents with gorgeous wood
panels, leather booths, beautiful tables and chairs, and
marvelous china and accompaniments. The black ceiling is
enhanced with spirals of filmy white fabric studded with
shimmering crystals. This is not your ordinary Chinese
eatery. The semi-open kitchen lets diners view the chefs
as they prepare fabulous food. Owner Charlie Huong, of
Little Ollie’s and Asie (Aspen) fame, brings his
creative, marvelous cuisine to a new level. The sushi
menu is amazing and worth the trip. Some highlights
include the caterpillar roll, fried tuna rolls, and
sashimi. Each is fabulous in presentation and taste.
Appetizers include pan seared pork dumplings, crispy
calamari, spring rolls, lettuce wraps, or the divine ahi
Napoleon with mango pico de gallo and crispy wontons.
The chicken dumplings are a must. Mango lemon chicken
and miso seabass are beyond description arriving in
picture perfect presentation with fabulous flavors in
each bite. Ginger prawns are outrageous, and the
peppercorn tenderloin a special treat. Thai basil
chicken, pork tenderloin, salmon, Peking duck, lamb and
whole fish make decisions almost impossible. Fried rice,
pad Thai, and pan fried noodles are a few of the sides
to accompany the entrées. Desserts keep pace with a
molten chocolate cake, banana cream spring rolls,
cheesecake, and divine gelato. The dishes stand out
because of their light sauces, and the pure taste of the
food sets it apart from any other Chinese restaurant.
The wine list is excellent, the service perfect. Jing is
something very special and unique in the area and brings
a new element to the dining scene
