A Steakhouse You Don’t Want To Miss-Prime Steak House

Head downtown for great steak---and much more

Prime Steak House
1040 15th St
corner of 15th and Arapahoe
303-844-5280

Enter Prime Steak House and “where’s the beef”? The prime beef is dry aging in a cooler near the entrance, but walk on by and see a warm, charming dining room with comfortable seating, large booths, and a welcome feel. White linens on the table add an upscale touch. Staff is nattily dressed in white pants and blue jackets as they offer excellent service to the guests. Peruse the wine list as baskets of delicious bread and lavosh arrive to start your meal. Chef James Mazzio has added exciting new touches to the menu. Appetizers include oysters, shrimp, smoked salmon, lump crab cocktails, tuna tartar, calamari, and crab cakes. Presentations are great and tastes delightful. Enjoy French onion soup, lobster bisque, the Wedge, spinach with bacon, blue cheese and walnuts, Caesar, or beefsteak tomatoes and onions for your next course. The steaks star but seafood is equally terrific for your entrée. Prime bone-in ribeye or bone in strip, filet, pork chops, lamb chops, chicken and prime rib start the list. Salmon with olives, capers, and tomatoes and rice, sashimi grade tuna with cucumber salad, crab cakes, crab legs and lobsters shine in the seafood list. Sides rock: baked fries, divine creamed spinach, sautéed wild mushrooms, fried onion rings, baked or French fried sweet potatoes, and mixed veggies are all winners and perfect for sharing as they are generous in size. Desserts include cheesecake, chocolate cake, and gelato. There are nightly specials and a pre-fixe menu for $18 (with 6 oz. entrees of salmon, chicken, or a filet). The bar area has an amazing menu at the most affordable prices. Add complimentary valet parking, which includes leaving your car if you are going to theater. Prime Steak House is a definite find and place to be in downtown Denver.
