Sarto’s is one fabulous spot in Denver. Start with the design. White marble meets soft gray and awesome and stunning describes the effect. Enter to a cichetti bar where Chef prepares tastes of his choice to excited diners lucky enough to nab a seat here. The regular bar is just as spectacular with its marble top, comfortable seating and great fun for a drink or for dinner. The room is filled with booths and tables with gray fabric on the upholstery, super lighting, and a wow! In Italian, Sarto’s means tailor—so Sarto’s brings the perfect outfit. Start with the pattern-great Italian food with a modern twist designed for every type. The fabric translates to everything fresh, prepared on premise from pasta and bread through dessert. Start with appetizers of antipasti, carpaccio, crudo of scallops, fritto that is lightly breaded and so delicious and the pizzette. Textures include arugula romaine with sherry vinaigrette and goat cheese, beet, and awesome salads. Pastas are awesome with ravioli stuffed with ricotta, tagliatelle, Bolognese, and a perfect carbonara a few choices. The section of entrée proteins from the wood burning oven include salmon, brick chicken, lamb, beef, and more. Don’t miss the accessories of risotto, gnocchi, cauliflower, pasta, asparagus, and artichoke that are available to complement your meal. Of course you will find parmesan, piccata, marsala, and other favorites with chicken, veal, or vegetarian. Decadent desserts of semifreddo, panna cotta, crème brulee, chocolate tart and gelato end this Italian feast. The pantry next door (actually attached) is a great addition with sandwiches, salads, panini, wine and more along with all to take home including pasta and sauces from the restaurant. The “tailor” has to put on a finishing touch and the wine and cocktail list and great service make it exceptional. The bill is on an alteration slip but do not worries, as there are no alterations needed—and no Valentino prices either. And now weekend brunch happens and it is not to be missed.
