Bistro Vendome

Great restaurants in the Square

Corridor 44
1433 Larimer
Denver, 80202
303-893-0044
Part of the Larimer Square
scene, Corridor 44 is unique in concept and design. As
you would expect with its name, Corridor 44 features a
terrific bar area as you enter with a long corridor with
additional seating that leads into a lovely lounge where
guests enjoy a fabulous selection of champagne as well
as wine and cocktails. Along with that divine list of
bubblies, the food is exceptional. Start with marcona
almonds, olives, and oyster shooters. Share the cheese
or charcuterie plates, oysters, a very special dish of
smoked salmon and caviar potato chips, mussels in curry
coconut broth, lamb chop lollypops, and shrimp cocktail.
Excellent salads and sandwiches that include buffalo
sliders, grilled tuna, and prosciutto excite. Large
plates of well prepared chicken breast, scallops,
salmon, filet and surf and turf complement the wines and
delight diners. What fun to enjoy the great champagnes
and indulge in excellent food. Corridor 44 is a terrific
choice for a night of fun in the square.

Bistro Vendôme
1420 Larimer Street
Denver, 80202
303-825-3232
Enter this marvelous French
bistro with high ceilings, mustard faux-painted walls,
mirrors, great lighting and comfortable seating. Enjoy a
drink or a meal in the friendly bar area or meet up with
friends in the dining room or on the gorgeous patio
where the many flowers and lights add sparkle to the
scene. The feeling of seclusion is terrific because
Vendôme is situated in the back of the main street
giving the impression of being in Paris. To complement
this perfect setting, Jennifer Jasinski and Beth Gruitch,
owners of the wildly popular Rioja across the street,
delight fans with this charming restaurant. Under their
direction, Bistro Vendôme is tops with a delightful and
exciting menu. Start your meal with a French baguette
served in a paper bag and a huge array of appetizers:
onion soup gratinée, mussels, foie gras and escargot.
Crêpes filled with chicken and the excellent steak
tartar bring more options for an appetizer. The beet
salad, nicoise, or greens combined with a fried egg and
bacon make for great flavors. Herb-roasted chicken comes
with a divine cauliflower gratin, and cod with veggies
and truffle crème fraiche while lamb comes with amazing
onion rings. When faced with choices of the best trout
done with a pistachio and spice crust, steak frites,
scallops, and veal medallions decisions are impossible.
A very French wine list is nicely priced. Apple tart
tatin, crème brûlée or divine chocolate tart are a
perfect ending to the meal. Weekends bring a sensational
brunch, where you can enjoy the best of typical French
bistro dishes. With great service and a warm, friendly
feel, Bistro Vendôme earns kudos as a great dining spot
in Denver.
