Burger Madness

Start with H Burger CO, add Walk-In Burgers, and then Rodney’s has a great burger too

H Burger CO
1555 Blake St.
Denver
720-524-4345
16th & Blake, Sugar Cube Building

Burgers are big and H Burger CO is bringing a new option for casual, comfort food in fun surroundings. Black and white with bright paintings, high ceilings, a focal bar as you enter, and comfortable seating in spacious booths so one can enjoy the experience with lots of food and sharing. Start with burgers, of course. Build your own, or go for the H Burger of angus beef, crispy bacon, hatch chili, and cheddar—definitely a winner. Opt for the lamb, turkey, veggie or burger of the week and each arrives with fries, great dipping sauce, and fabulous buns. “Other stuff on bread” brings roasted turkey, crispy grouper, prime rib, ahi tuna nicoise, a chicken club, or a hot dog. There’s a half chicken and sides of turkey chili, sweet and spicy or hot wings, and chicken fingers. Add a variety of fries and onion rings, specialty salads, and a kiddie menu, and you are set. A variety of yummy shakes chilled with liquid nitrogen make for a show. Beer, soft drinks, and wine complement the food. Save room for the ice cream sandwich. H BurgerCO makes for a perfect LoDo stop anytime.

Walk-In Burgers
303-238-2002
2255 Sheridan Blvd. # D
Edgewater, CO 80214

Enter—or “walk in” to this one room space in a small mall and be ready for burger fun. The design is simple with high ceilings, bright walls, huge windows with a spectacular view of Sloans Lake, and a focal open kitchen where you place your orders. The meat is great with the right ratio of fat to meat, very moist and fresh. Start with the plain burger, add cheese, or caramelized onions, apple smoked bacon, grilled mushrooms, and hot pepper mix. If you prefer, order the buffalo burger or a terrific veggie burger of quinoa, black beans, cheese, and great seasonings. It’s remarkably moist and tasty. The list of “not burgers” includes slow roasted meat, grilled chicken, jerk chicken, or a hot dog served Chicago style. Fries and sweet potato fries arrive crispy in brown paper bags and there is a list of sauces for dipping. Salads and a kiddie menu add to the choices. There is beer and wine along with fountain drinks to accompany your order. It’s affordable, friendly, simple, and simply fun and a perfect choice for a quick dinner in the neighborhood.

Rodney’s
2819 E. 2nd Ave.
Denver, 80206
303-394-3939

If you’re looking for fun, good food and a neighborhood restaurant, look no further than Rodney’s. On the lower level in Cherry Creek North, the décor is like a Cheer’s bar. The huge bar is the focal point, but there is comfortable seating throughout the restaurant. The seating in the rear is more family, but you can still watch your favorite sports event on the TV. It’s totally casual and so popular—and good. The menu is extensive. Start with crab cakes, a shrimp cocktail that features gigantic prawns with apricot horseradish sauce, deep-fried calamari, or Cajun chicken strips. Salads make a perfect first course or can serve as an entrée. Choices include the wedge with blue cheese and bacon, Caesar or a Cobb full of grilled chicken, blue cheese crumbles, mushrooms, avocado, olives, egg, bacon and tomato. The sandwiches are excellent—pick the salmon club, fresh roasted turkey, Reuben, prime rib French dip, or burgers with more toppings than you can imagine. Angus beef steaks and prime rib arrive with a massive baked potato and vegetables. Seafood lovers will enjoy fresh salmon or coconut fried prawns. Add Mexican fare and pastas, and eat your way through the menu. Desserts are fun, especially the huge chocolate layer cake. The wine and martini lists are far-reaching and reasonable. With great service and caring owners catering to every age and taste, it’s easy to see why Rodney’s remains a favorite after 21 years.

Burger Madness too-Deluxe Burger and Larkburger

Deluxe Burger and Larkburger are great!!!

Deluxe Burger
5325 E. Colfax
Denver, 80220
720-941-9292
E. Colfax and Grape

“Love in a bun” served daily ---in this small spot that is all bright and cheery. Next to Mod livin’ you can actually get in the store from the restaurant and the place is bright. An orange wall with ultra modern design and white accents make up the décor with banquettes and a long counter space for dining. Place your order at the counter and wait to be delighted with a great selection of burgers and sides. The burgers are Angus beef, free range chicken, and #1 Ahi tuna while all the sauces are made by Chef/Owner Dylan Moore that include outrageous mustard and darn good catsup. The buns are herb Kaiser, and all orders are topped with butter lettuce, tomato, purple onion and roasted garlic aioli. Now it’s time to choose from the deluxe burger which can be topped with bacon, fried egg, caramelized onions, balsamic onions, or shitake mushrooms. Signature burgers include BBQ, not to miss spicy tuna, a truffle burger, basil BLT chicken, or falafel. Add great fries and divine hand cut sweet potato chips, the best tomato soup, or a grilled cheese sandwich and you are set. There are salads as well and plain or truffle parmesan fries. Don’t stop until you complement that burger with a black and white or orangecicle shake. Finish with homemade chocolate chip cookies or Dylan’s famous ice cream sandwich. There is a kiddie menu too. Deluxe Burger is warm and friendly, the food hot and divine, and Deluxe burgers is just what a burger “joint” should be.

Larkburger
8000 E. Belleview, Suite 45
303-779-0093
Littleton

Larkburger is a groovy alternative to the quick burger joint. With modern, clean décor featuring wood paneling made from reclaimed Monterey Cypress along with 100% biodegradable containers and “Spud-ware” utensils, Larkburger firmly plants itself in the eco-friendly restaurant category. They even recycle their canola oil as automotive fuel. But whether you’re a tree hugger or not, the main reason to visit Larkburger is for their ultra delicious food. All natural ingredients (of course) are used for the whole Larkburger menu. Burger choices include Black Angus, turkey, veggie and tuna too. As for side dishes, don’t miss the truffle and Parmesan fries, which are OMG fantastic. You can also get a side of soy beans or a nice salad. If you’re in the mood, treat yourself to a shake to wash down your burger. Delivered in cardboard containers, everything is tasty. One visit and you’ll be hooked. Oh, one last thing -- after enjoying your meal, deposit your containers in the recycle bins provided; it’s the earth-friendly thing to do.
