and Larkburger

Deluxe Burger and Larkburger are great!!!

Deluxe Burger

E. Colfax and Grape
“Love in a bun” served
daily ---in this small spot that is all bright and
cheery. Next to Mod livin’ you can actually get in the
store from the restaurant and the place is bright. An
orange wall with ultra modern design and white accents
make up the décor with banquettes and a long counter
space for dining. Place your order at the counter and
wait to be delighted with a great selection of burgers
and sides. The burgers are Angus beef, free range
chicken, and #1 Ahi tuna while all the sauces are made
by Chef/Owner Dylan Moore that include outrageous
mustard and darn good catsup. The buns are herb Kaiser,
and all orders are topped with butter lettuce, tomato,
purple onion and roasted garlic aioli. Now it’s time to
choose from the deluxe burger which can be topped with
bacon, fried egg, caramelized onions, balsamic onions,
or shitake mushrooms. Signature burgers include BBQ, not
to miss spicy tuna, a truffle burger, basil BLT chicken,
or falafel. Add great fries and divine hand cut sweet
potato chips, the best tomato soup, or a grilled cheese
sandwich and you are set. There are salads as well and
plain or truffle parmesan fries. Don’t stop until you
complement that burger with a black and white or
orangecicle shake. Finish with homemade chocolate chip
cookies or Dylan’s famous ice cream sandwich. There is a
kiddie menu too. Deluxe Burger is warm and friendly, the
food hot and divine, and Deluxe burgers is just what a
burger “joint” should be.

Larkburger is a groovy
alternative to the quick burger joint. With modern,
clean décor featuring wood paneling made from reclaimed
Monterey Cypress along with 100% biodegradable
containers and “Spud-ware” utensils, Larkburger firmly
plants itself in the eco-friendly restaurant category.
They even recycle their canola oil as automotive fuel.
But whether you’re a tree hugger or not, the main reason
to visit Larkburger is for their ultra delicious food.
All natural ingredients (of course) are used for the
whole Larkburger menu. Burger choices include Black
Angus, turkey, veggie and tuna too. As for side dishes,
don’t miss the truffle and Parmesan fries, which are OMG
fantastic. You can also get a side of soy beans or a
nice salad. If you’re in the mood, treat yourself to a
shake to wash down your burger. Delivered in cardboard
containers, everything is tasty. One visit and you’ll be
hooked. Oh, one last thing -- after enjoying your meal,
deposit your containers in the recycle bins provided;
it’s the earth-friendly thing to do.
