Deluxe Burger

Dylan Moore is an ideal chef. His fresh and unique menus offer the Denver restaurant scene an exciting change from the suburban chain restaurants. His assortment of food experiences and upbeat décor add to the must visit appeal. His chic restaurant and classy bar, Deluxe and Delite, on Broadway has recently acquired a brother establishment with the grand opening of Deluxe Burger on Colfax and Grape. This specific location within the Mod Livin’ furniture store has roots that some old timer Denver natives might remember as being an old soda fountain, which is similar to what Dylan and his crew have transformed the space into with a completely up-to-date fun atmosphere. Dylan being a family man himself has found an outlet to introduce Denver to a colorful, kid friendly environment and again deserves a gold star!

Opening day was quite the scene at Deluxe Burger. Upon entering you have a choice of going through Mod Livin’, which is a very hip yet classic array of furniture, or the separate entrance door to the left. The furniture store was formerly a pharmacy while the newly created Deluxe Burger was a soda fountain. This location is going back to its roots with adding this traditional burger restaurant and Dylan’s culinary style was its perfect match. Like his restaurant and bar on Broadway and many things Dylan does, his Deluxe Burgers are built from scratch. All of his ingredients are homemade and unique, adding a piece of himself to everything he does.

The tuna burger is actually sushi grade tuna, bought from the same place as sushi den. The Denver burger was a succulent explosion of taste, texture, and sight. The use of both caramelized onions and fresh onions created a crisp texture and a taste that is indescribable. To wash it down, have a Coke in an aluminum can resembling a classic bottle. You cannot leave without trying the homemade ice cream! The orangecicle is a mixture of tang and ice cream, just thinking about it makes your mouth water.

Be aware these burgers are not your run of the mill burger, they are very messy! They require patience and a two hand grip. Yet as messy as they are, Dylan reminds us that “burgers are not meant to be eaten in the car!”

Along with this exciting restaurant opening, Dylan plans to take on drag queens next. With the closing of the Denver favorite Bump n’ Grind restaurant, the waitressing queens were out of work. Dylan is planning on employing these queens on the weekends at Delite on South Broadway! So for great food and a raunchy good time make your way to Delite the first weekend of April! Yet be aware there is touching!
