What a week!   Lots to do and fun things.......AROUND TOWN!!!

We went to Shells and Sauce to watch the Broncos. They were not great but the place was. The food, service, ambience, wine—all are the best. We sat at the bar and drank great wine—to keep up our spirits!!! Not really, just because. We had the great bread and dip, the prawn appetizer, Caesar, and arugula salads. And then we had the chicken special with ravioli on the side, the vongole, and the chicken parmesan—there is no better. We were full but tried a fried plantain special that was wow. What a great group.

We went to La Loma as so many people said it is so great—they were right-not the usual heavy cheese but really good food-torillas made on the spot-so much fun. We had chips and salsa and then guacamole, and queso. Entrees were chicken asada, fish tacos with mango salsa, and the shrimp and enchilada plate. And dessert was mud pie. It was great.

We had a lunch meeting at Elway’s Cherry Creek and it was great. Cannot be it for food, and service-and great valets too. We had the lobster club, the gyros, and the Caesar with salmon and all were very happy.

Dinner at Coohills was great-and sitting by the window watching the snow come down-beautiful-specially cuz it did not last---they have a new menu and it started last night. It is quite different than the first and terrific. We had the great epi bread and then the escarole with parmesan egg and duck confit with Brussels sprouts to start. Then we had the new pork, salmon, and lamb—all were new and different and big hits. The chocolate cake is now filled with hazelnut and was terrific---so was the wine. And our waiter, Jim, was super too.

After a trip downtown we went to D-Bar Desserts-for a treat-the treat is the savory dishes as well as sweets—and afternoon tea as well. We had the ham and cheese Panini and the seared tuna with a fabulous salad- and tea and cookies. What fun it is at all times when you visit there.

The Gabby dinner at Zydeco's was great fun. The food was so good and so southern—and a great pianist made the evening perfect. We had gumbo that was terrific followed by great salads-your choice of Caesar or house with remoulade and both were super. Entrees of etouffee, pasta with shrimp, and a super pork chop pleased all. Desserts were beignets and bananas foster. The pianist was so terrific and made the evening perfect

We went to Charcoal for dinner and it was great. The wine was super, bread great and then an artichoke, gnocchi and mushroom appetizer special was divine. Then we had super chicken, steak frites, and scallops for entrees—we passed dessert-but really loved our meal.

Wild Eggs was great for brunch/lunch—mu favorite food is eggs and they do a great job. We all had eggs bennies and loved them.

We got stopped for idnner but still ended up at Shells and Sauce for a quick dinner at the bar. The people here are beyond amazing! We had the chicken parmesan, salmon, arugula salad—and no matter what day or week it is, the place to be is Shells and Sauce. We had a glass of great wine, super bread, and chicken parmesan, arugula salad, and salmon. It was perfect.
