 Here's the scoop from the Gabby Gourmet Restaurant Show on Saturday February 18, 2012.

We were at Root Down on 33rd and Osage to talk about Restaurant Weeks that starts on February 25 and goes until March 9.

My guests were Rich Grant of Visit Denver and John Imbergamo, PR guy around town.

The questions of the day:
How many can covers are on the wall in the private dining room at Root Down—2,280
How may visits to Denver Restaurant Week webpage last year happened—567, 243

Root Down is fabulous—the brunch was amazing---so is dinner and every other meal there. The ambience, the service, the food-and they are participating in 5280.

Linger, their sister restaurant, is also amazing and now serving lunch as well as dinner.

The folks at Visit Denver are so excited-if you go out all 14 nights-you get a badge
You can walk in and sit at the bar or look for cancellations.
Call as Open Table cuts off after a certain amount of reservations.

See the menus on line. You can ask about lunch being served.

Kathy adores Root Down and had an amazing Valentine dinner at Elway’s Cherry Creek.

Karen went to Venue and loved it.

Jayden went to Paxia—and met me there and adored it.

Monica had a super lunch at Coohills and has tons for reservations for Restaurant Week

Diane loves Root Down- and has a restaurant list for the week as well.

Paula loves Axios—me too-and Taqueria Patsquoro

Julie wanted Lakewood and we talked about Frijoles and Wystones—2 not to miss.
240 Union is great for upscale food.

Dana loved Marcos Coal Fired Pizza.

Paul went to Café-Bar and stayed the night and adores it. We all love it too.

Trisha is on the 14 badge club list-going out every night.

Doug is going to Axios and Marcos for Restaurant Week.

Hedy is going to Texas de Brazil and wanted into. And she is going to Venice downtown-another great choice.

We were so out of time---but more fun next week when we are in studio.
