Here's the scoop from the Gabby Gourmet Restaurant Show on Saturday November 5th, 2011.

We were at the Compleat Gourmet on Dry Creek and University. The store is fabulous.

We visited with Connie, the owner, and Ron Robinson of the Wynkoop restaurant.

THIS THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 10, IS OUR BREAKFAST FOR DINNER AT WILD EGGS-IT IS GONNA BE FABULOUS.

AND ON CHANNEL 7 ON TV THIS WEEK-THE NEW GABBY GOURMET RESTAURANT GUIDE IS HERE-AND WE ARE SHOWING SOME OF THE HEAVENLYS—YOU CAN PURCHASE THEM ALL OVER TOWN—LOOK ON MY HOMEPAGE AND SEE WHERE WE ARE HAVING BOOK SIGNINGS AND REMOTES-AND WHERE THEY ARE AVAILABLE TOO.

NEXT WEEK WE WILL BE AT NATURAL GROCERS, VITAMIN COTTAGE ON S. UNIVERSITY AND ARAPAHOE—COME BY AND SEE ALL THE GREAT GOODIES-AND ME TOO-SHOPPING TIME—AND JANE AND BRETT FROM THE WOODEN TABLE ARE GONNA STOP BY AS WELL.

Connie is divine and we talked about all the great things in the store—including a racklette grill-just like the ones we use at Chinook at our dinners!!!!
She brings in many things from Rwanda, and sells them and the money goes back--women get health insurance for their families and food, caring, etc. it is amazing.
Baskets, fabulous purses and much more—we talked about all.

At the store you can buy some fabulous pickles which we sampled—great coffees that are good for you, chocolates and more.

The question of the day: how many gallons of beer did Wynkoop make in 2010—108,000
That is a lot of beer.

We had callers that we could not put on air as there was a problem but we did takes guesses off air.

We had many comments by people at the store—buying books-thank you very much—about Wooden Table on Orchard and University—they will be stopping by next week at Natural Grocers on Arapahoe and University.

The Ghost—restaurant will be starting a new menu on Monday and a great new chef as well.

Wynkoop is hosting dinners and beer tastings. Call for details-sounds like fun.

Ron’s group had a dinner at Shanahan’s with the best food, WINE, and service ever. He was thrilled.

There were so many interesting stories that we ran out of time.
