Some of the judges are Penny Parker, Tyler Wiard—and me---and lots more.

We went to Sabor Bar and Grill and it was great-the new look is super, the food remains great. Service is so amazing and so was the food. We had potato soup and posole—served with great bread-and they grill the tortillas and wow. The guacamole is fabulous-chunky and great dipping sauces and ceviche perfect. We had fajitas, and tequila lime chicken as entrees. We would have had the paella but it had pork (Mark does not eat pork) and shrimp ( I am allergic to shrimp) but it looked divine. We had flan and the best rice pudding for dessert. What a fun night.

We went to the new Sweet Ginger in Cherry Creek North-3rd and Clayton. It was great. The place is so pretty with a terrific sushi bar. And they do a combo of Thai, Japanese, Chinese, and Vietnamese—we had some of each. The sushi is beautiful. Then we had gyoza, Panang curry, crispy duck, moo shu, and super soft shell crab and rice. The dishes were so pretty to see, divine to taste, and generous in portion-and prices are very affordable. This is great for the neighborhood—or anywhere.

We had a meeting at Randolph’s at the Warwick-great meeting and the gorgeous patio is ready for company. They have heaters and a huge fire pit too. We had the tuna entrée with mashed potatoes, the shrimp skewers with black beans, the salmon on the signature salad, and the pannini of the day-roast beef. Everything was oh so good. They are open Mother’s day for a sit down brunch in Randolph’s and a buffet in the ballroom if you prefer.

We went up to The Fort for dinner and to start---Chris and Mary Beth are the most terrific people ever. Chris has been there 25 years and he is the most caring, amazing person ever and Mary Beth was our waitress and she is just as amazing. We had great wines and sangria and then quesadillas and lamb ribs with the best sauce for appetizers. Then comes pumpkin walnut muffins and sour dough rolls with your salad that accompanies all entrees. Then we had the elk chops, steak with incorrect topping-cheese, red chile and a fried egg, trout wrapped in bacon, and the new divine veggie tower and the pork belly. We were stuffed but had to have the negrita—and then the chocolate chile cake, cheesecake and rose water gelee with white chocolate. It was great fun and a real treat. Holly is wonderful and does an amazing job. Hats off to Holly and her staff.

Lunch at Rooster and Moon and it was fun. The place is very nice, the room features nice seating and Wi Fi. We had the salad with great dressing, the chicken salad wrap, and the tuna melt. All were fine. And tea and coffee too---

The gabby dinner at Fleur Bistro was a hit. The place is so pretty-beautiful and charming. The food and service were great-wine too—we started with red pepper dip and crpstini, then came a salami, goat cheese salad. Entrees were a choice of stuffed pork or half chicken and both were excellent. The brownie with ice cream topped with salted caramel was a perfect ending.

TV was great with Cinco de Mayo places---Que Bueno! Was beyond spectacular!!!! Sabor bar and Grill, Rosa Lindas, Wondervu Café and Hacienda were all great too.
Watch the video under TV appearances.

We went to lunch at Jelly----the service was very slow so be prepared. We had scrambles and they were fine.

We went to Indulge French Restaurant and it was divine and charming. William and Stephanie are so incredible—and the breads—he now sells them there where he bakes them for sale—they are divine. So was dinner. We had several of the warm rolls and then salmon tartar, duck confit, mussels, and green salad to start—they were all to die for!!!!
Entrees were a steak with bleu cheese, salmon, and several orders of amazing sweetbreads. The poached pear ice cream chocolate sauce dessert was fabulous too. Wines are lovely and nicely priced. The evening was fabulous.

Satchel’s was great again—such fun. There are super wines, great food and lots of fun there-in a small space of happy diners. We had the truffle popcorn again-surprise—and then shared mussels and frites. Then we had the asparagus salad with egg, ham, and ricotta and the dover sole as entrees—several had the same dish. And then a couple of the richest delicious chocolate pot de crèmes. Service was great too.

Lunch at D-Bar-Desserts is always the best-so is any meal there—we finally got to the patio-as the weather was great. And we had the kobe beef sliders with fries, the waffle with fried chicken-yeah-and the new chicken breast on the house salad. Everything was divine as always. D-Bar roc ks

The Gabby Dinner at Elway’s Cherry Creek-Cinco de Mayo was so great-the lucky people who got a seat were thrilled. We had lots of margaritas, wine, and beer-and then your choice of divine chile rellenos with chorizo, shrimp, or a grilled Caesar with deviled duck egg—all were fabulous. Then we had entrée choices of chicken, sea bass, or pork brisket—one better than the next—oh so good. And we ended with flan or tres leche cake—and very full and happy.

Kathy called about 2 great Gabby dinners-one at Fleur Bistro and one at Elway’s Cherry Creek-and she loves Highland Tap and Burger.

Lydia went to Outback for early bird specials.

Katie called to say hi—she is part of the Highland Tap & Burger team but was home and missed the incredible Kentucky Derby Party.

The hats were awesome—the guests too. We did have a parade and picked the winners—what fun.

Connie is on her way to HTB and is going to try the Wishbone on 95th in Westminster.

Trisha called from Larimer Square where there was a top chef cookoff—what fun.
And around town there are food trucks having a food truck war as well.

Paul is on his way to HTB and planning his trip to visit Encantado.

We talked a lot about businesses, happenings and were our of time before we began.

Thanks for listening and calling.
Gabby
