Here's the scoop from the Gabby Gourmet Restaurant Show on Saturday December 31st, 2011. My guests were Steve and Joey Miller-my son from Netnewsdesk and Ideasource, and grandson—and Clemens Georg from Chinook Tavern. The question of the day: tell us about the most unique and interesting place or dish this year.- Clemens was great—New Year’s specials-the Raclette-several thought it the most unique-smoked prime rib-every Tuesday now as well. And the great things-coffee shop, bar and more. We spoke to several chefs and restaurateurs today NEW DINNER!!!!!!!! Ambria Phone: 303-623-8646 At Ambria, Chef/Owner Jeremy Kittelson showcases his contemporary American cuisine inspired by the flavors of the Mediterranean Region. He applies the careful technique, preparation and presentation of seasonal ingredients, to create soulful, rustic dishes and we are going to sample his cuisine at this week before Valentine's Gabby Gourmet dinner. $35 includes 4 courses, tax, tip and wine. Park in the Tabor Center parking garage and your parking is complimentary with validation.
Okole Maluna Lauer Kraut Maria Empanada We had so many calls on Chinook—and racklette –we may have to do another dinner. We talked about Healthy Measures-90 Madison and Lizzy extended our offer to come in and have a complimentary trial. It is fabulous. We talked about Bistro Vendome, Brothers BBQ, and tiny desserts--- Someone wanted vegan—we talked about Watercourse and City O City-and Café Aion in Boulder. They might have some. The sandwich at the Broadway Bar and Grill in Vegas sounds amazing—a triducken burger with a great bun and trimmings—far to go but sounds great. And at Ondo in Cherry Creek squid in squid ink, We had raves about La Merise—I did it on TV on wed—third and Clayton-and they loved it—me too—great quiche too. The Fresh Fish CO got a great call-and you get the percentage of your age off on your birthday. We talked about Biker Jim and all the places on Larimer—Marco, Biker Jim, Trilium, Ignite!!!, twelve, Hi-Rise and more. We totally ran out of time. It was great. I so appreciate all you do, listen, call, come to dinners, and support the Gabby Gourmet Restaurant Guide 2012—still on the best seller list. Thank you. I hope you will be with me in the coming year.
