Café 180 was co-founded by Cathy Matthews, Libby Whitmore and Julie Mihevc with a goal of eliminating hunger and encouraging social connectedness. He has been honored as a "Top Denver Chef" by 5280 magazine and invited to cook multiple times at the James Beard House. Since arriving at Elway’s, Tyler has continued to garner accolades. In 2008, he beat out 22 other chefs from across the country to take top prize in the 19th Annual Taste of Elegance, a national competition sponsored by the National Pork Board.
