La Loma does Mexican fare like it should be. It has been around for years serving Mama Mendoza’s recipes and they sure do make people happy—all 250 of them at a time who fill up the warm, comfortable restaurant that is divided into several rooms for dining. As you enter there is a great bar and a spot where you can enjoy watching fresh tortillas being prepared. The margaritas are worth the trip as you start with great chips and salsa. Appetizers include delicious guacamole, queso, quesadillas and more. There are so many entrée choices: fajitas, burritos, enchiladas, tacos, rellenos, chimichanga—and on and on. Some of the specials include soft fish tacos with mango salsa, chicken asada, shrimp, huevos, and great green chile. There are too many dishes to list—and a reason to go back often. The staff is incredible—they are so very friendly, informative, and caring for all. From the very young to the very old, everyone is happy at La Loma. After one visit you’ll be hooked.
